The mobile standard service software solution “ePocket Handyman” is one of the winners of the Deutsche Telekom Innovation award 2011 and has also won the audience award.
Under the theme “workplace of the future”, Deutsche Telekom has, for the sixth time, presented the Telekom Innovation Award to medium sized corporations offering innovative and future orientated solutions in the area of mobile communications, fixed line communications and IT. The focus was set on those solutions that optimize workflow and processes, reduce administrative costs or ease the internal and external collaboration.
“It is a great honour and success for us that we have been awarded second best innovative company out of 72 applicants. That we have also received the audience award from more than 200 professional visitors proves that ePocket Handyman, with its standard approach combined with a superior user experience, has convinced not just the jury but also the entire audience during the event”, says Ralf Onken, responsible for the international business at ePocket Solutions. “In addition to this, the availability of ePocket Handyman on multiple platforms such as Windows Mobile and Android was a very important decision making criteria for the jury and the audience.”
The Telekom Innovation award process was a project carried out over several weeks, starting with a first round of more than 72 applicants. After a first screening by the jury, 15 applicants were given the opportunity to run individual presentations and 5 applicants were finally selected for the last round of the award process. The jury consisted of well known representatives from politics and economics, as well as research and development.
Onken continued, “The fact that ePocket Handyman is able to deliver measurable advantages against competition in day-to-day operations has been presented at a very credible level. From the three companies that received awards, ePocket Handyman is the only solution that offers a mobile solution for field service”.
